Our relationship management service is designed to empower our clients to develop their own direct relationships of trust with the key decision makers at global investment consultancies. Many small investment businesses rely on placement agents to manage their relationships with consultants. We see this as a mistake. Consultants prize direct one-on-one relationships with the senior investors and principals at the firms they use and prefer not to liaise through intermediaries.
We know who to talk to, what to say and how to say it. We represent some clients directly but in many cases ‘stand behind’ our clients and allow them to control the relationship, calling on us for advice. By understanding the consultants’ research and analysis procedures we can guide our clients through this challenging process, as a single ill-structured meeting can create a blot on an otherwise good relationship and take several years to erase.
Consultants expect managers to deliver the appropriate technical information to them. We understand the procedures they use and can establish and maintain distribution of your information across the investment consultant databases.
We are also tapped in to the market and monitor upcoming searches by pension funds on behalf of our clients. We can alert them to appropriate opportunities and assist them with tendering.
