UK Financial Stocks Short Selling Prohibition – Update

On 26 September 2008, the FSA released version 3 of its short selling FAQs which provides further guidance on how the prohibition and notification regime applies to non-discretionary and discretionary managers.  The latest version of these FAQs can be found at:  FSA short selling material

This link also provides access to the FSA's current list of protected issuers, which was most recently updated on 30 September 2008.  This list currently contains 34 companies, up from the original 29. 

Until such time as the FSA reorganises this material, this link should provide access to the current version of the rules, FAQs and list of protected issuers.
